Reference for every setting in the Blockli Mobile App plugin admin panel — identity, branding, theme, navigation, modules, and cloud connection.
All settings live under Blockli → Settings in your WordPress admin. They are stored in the bma_settings option.
Identity & Branding
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| App Name | Display name shown in the app header and onboarding screens. Defaults to your WordPress site name. |
| App Slug | URL-safe identifier (e.g. my-community). Used as the deep-link scheme when App Scheme is blank. Set once — changing it invalidates existing deep links. |
| App Scheme | Optional override for the deep-link scheme. Leave blank to use the app slug. Useful when you have multiple Blockli apps on the same device and need distinct schemes. |
| Support Email | Shown to users on the in-app Settings screen. Defaults to the WordPress admin email. |
| Site URL | Read-only. Set from home_url(). |
Theme & Colors
These values populate the app’s design tokens. Each color has a light-theme and dark-theme variant.
| Token | Default (light / dark) | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Primary | #1d4ed8 / #60a5fa |
Buttons, links, active state |
| Background | #ffffff / #020617 |
Screen background |
| Surface | #f8fafc / #0f172a |
Cards, bottom sheets |
| Text | #111827 / #f8fafc |
Body text |
| Muted | #64748b / #94a3b8 |
Secondary text, placeholders |
Theme Mode controls the default appearance: system (follow device), light, or dark. Users can override this in the app if the app is configured to allow it.
Icon URL — URL to the app icon image. Used in Studio as a fallback reference; the canonical icon is set in Studio’s Build configuration.
Enabled Modules
Modules control which features are surfaced in the app. The plugin detects installed plugins and shows only the modules that are actually available on your site.
| Module | Required plugin |
|---|---|
| Activity | BuddyBoss Platform |
| Groups | BuddyBoss Platform |
| Members | BuddyBoss Platform |
| Profile | BuddyBoss Platform |
| Forums | BuddyBoss Platform (bbPress component) |
| Notifications | BuddyBoss Platform |
| Courses | LearnDash |
| Documents | BuddyBoss Platform Pro |
| Podcasts | Any podcast plugin (e.g. Seriously Simple Podcasting) |
| Livestream (On Request) | Mux + BMA Livestream add-on |
Enabled modules appear in the app’s navigation and search. Disabled modules are hidden entirely.
Navigation
The navigation setting controls the tab bar and "More" overflow menu. You can configure:
- Tab bar items — up to 5 items shown at the bottom of the screen
- More menu items — everything else, accessible from the "More" tab
- Header bar — optional action buttons in the top navigation bar
- Audience — each menu can be scoped to
default(all users),logged_in, orlogged_out
Navigation can also be overridden per-app from Studio, which takes precedence over plugin settings.
Cloud Connection
The Cloud section connects the plugin to your Studio app record.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Enabled | Whether Studio cloud sync is active. Set automatically when you connect via Studio. |
| App ID | The Studio-assigned app identifier. Set by Studio during connection. |
| Config URL | The edge/CDN URL Studio uses to deliver your published app config. |
| API Base URL | The Studio API base used for build/OTA callbacks. |
Note: Do not edit the Cloud settings manually. Use the Connect flow in Studio to populate these fields — Studio sets them via the plugin’s admin REST API during the connection handshake.
EAS
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| EAS Project ID | The Expo Application Services project UUID. Set by Studio when you link an EAS project. |
| Preview channel | The EAS Update channel name used for development/preview builds. Defaults to preview. |
| Production channel | The EAS Update channel name used for production builds. Defaults to production. |
