App configuration
Configure your app’s branding, navigation, modules, and feature flags in WordPress.
App Configuration in WordPress controls how your app looks and behaves. When Edge Cache is enabled, configuration changes are published to the CDN — the app picks them up on next launch without requiring a new build.
Branding
App icon and splash screen
Upload your app icon and splash screen images in App Config → Settings → Identity & Branding.
| Asset | Requirements |
|---|---|
| App icon | 1024×1024 px PNG, no transparency (required for App Store) |
| Android adaptive icon | 1024×1024 px PNG with a subject centered in a safe zone |
| Android notification icon | White PNG on transparent background, 96×96 px |
| Splash screen | 2732×2732 px PNG (covers all device sizes) |
Important: Icon and splash screen changes require a new build. They are embedded in the binary, not delivered via runtime config or On-Air updates.
Colors and theme
Set your brand colors for light and dark themes. These token values are delivered as part of the published app runtime config and can be updated without a new build.
Set Dark Theme Mode color to control the appearance when a user views the app in dark mode.
Navigation
Configure the bottom tab bar and the "More" overflow menu in App Config → Navigation.
- Tab bar — up to 5 items. Each item has a label, icon, route, and optional audience (all users / logged in / logged out).
- More menu — everything else accessible from the last tab. Supports the same audience scoping.
- Header bar — icon buttons shown in the top navigation bar on certain screens.
